Got to see some paint on the car tonight. Ian, my painter called and wanted me to come down and eyeball the darts on the rear deck. Got them layed out in about an hour. Hard to do with all the curves going on back there. Darts will be red with a black pinstripe around them.

Whoa and Go

Mounted my shifter today, finaly got around to drilling the holes in the mounts I welded to the floor a long time ago. Should have drilled the holes before welding them on cuz it was a pain in the arse to get them drilled down that close to the floor but I was able to do it with a flex shaft mounted on my drill. I also built the mount and brackets for the hand brake today and it turned out great, Just need to drill the holes in the mount and center rib in the car and bolt it in.

Grillin'

Got my stuff from Fibersteel the other day so I went ahead and mounted the faux oil cooler grill. I think this will look a lot better than the molded in one on the body. Kinda spendy though.

'Bout time you did something.................

Finaly did something on the car today. I mounted the windshield wiper assy. and spatter painted the trunk and gas tank area up front. Not much I know but my painter is almost ready to take the car back after repairing his shop so I gotta get ready. There is only so much I can do until after paint though.

A Little Progress

Went down to the painters today to check on the progress. All the primer is on, body work and sanding is finished. I need to get off my butt and figure out what color white I'm going to paint this thing.

At the Painters

So the car is at the painters now, sorry didn't take any pictures down there. My neighbors son in law has a body shop and he is doing the paint. Nice thing is his shop is about 5 min. away so I can give him a hand if needed and check on things with out driving for miles.

OK now it's really ready for paint

So I thought I had finished up all the bodywork but since the sun gas actualy been out a little bit up here I saw a few more spots that needed a little work. I also decided to install a Rensport mirror so had to drill the holes for that also. Today I finished it all up, fiberglassed the hole up for the steering tube, painted the trunk with trunk spatter paint. It is now ready for the painter. I can't wait!
